We are most likely to attend the ArtCon 6 wrap up party at the Doublewide on Tuesday Dec 7th. Best part, the artists drink free! at least the first few. ArtCon 6 raised $30,000 this year, a record high. Thanks to Jason Janik for snapping our photo at the event.

Recently Finished Commisioned Works
I've been fortunate enough lately to pick up some very nice cleints who gave me an unlimited amount of time to finish their projects. Becuase we were in no time crunch they recieved what I feel has been some of my best work to date and I just want to say THANK YOU! Here are some photos of the projects.
This painting was commisoned by a friend of mine who recently took a beach vacation out of the country and wanted the house she stayed in with her husband on the ocean sealed on canvas forever. I offered to do it as part of my Fantastico series. I thought the cool cobalt blue of the series would reflect an atmosphere of bliss the best. It turned out brilliant. The blue is breathtaking
In other local art news I just found out that the Goss Michael Foundation is reopening it's doors at a new location in Oaklawn twice the size of its last. The Goss Michael Foundation specializes in exposing young and mid career British artists to Dallas including Damien Hirst, one of my absolute favorites of the "Cool Britania Movement" of the 90's.They officially open the new space on November 19th with a VIP cocktail party the night before. Wish I would have recieved an invite to that! Check it out if you get a chance.

This piece was commisioned for a recently remodeled condo in North Dallas. I delivered it yesterday to a great cleint. It looks absolutely amazing on top of white venitain plaster and several spotlights illuminating the vibrant colors on canvas. It's quite a large piece at 5 1/2ft by 3ft. I really think it is one of my best to date. Enjoy Helene!
This was a series of three canvas' that I did for a client called "Just Below the Ice". This piece deals with shape and movement above other things and again, I feel it reflects a new direction for me as an artist. Another one of my best to date.

"La Dolce Vita" 2010
Yesterday I finished the painting entitled, "La Dolce Vita", for FGI and attended a cocktail reception where it was shown before it goes to auction Nov 19th. I think it turned out pretty good at 2.5' x 4'. I almost don't want to let it go! Oh well, I guess I can always make another. The image is a movie still of Anita Ekberg and Marcello Mastroiani from the Fellini film La Dolce Vita from1960. Great film.

Scott Tucker and Mary Poe
I 'm showing two paintings this Friday night at Kettle Art Gallery for the "Pillars of Creation"show. Most artists in the show have painted the murals on the great pillars holding up I -75 crossing Canton over Deep Ellum. Their work is fantastic. I really wish I would have had the time to help out on the murals. Unfortunately, I did not. I eventually want to paint a life size Cobra Commander somewhere in Deep Ellum and I may just do it Banksy style and hope I don't get caught. If you see Cobra, you know it was me! Also I just want to thank Nick Metzger and Frank Campagna for putting this show together and inviting me to participate. Again, another thanks to Nick for driving all the way to Denton to pick up my paintings for hanging night I couldn't make. Thanks man

Angel's Kiss Gayla @ Texas Motor Speedway Ballroom, September 25th, 2010
Just wanted to thank the Vascular Birthmarks Foundation again for inviting me to donate a piece to the charity auction this past weekend. The event was classy, the cocktails were strong, dinner was pretty good and Mary and I had a great time. My painting had several bids by the time I left so hopefully it was able to fetch a good price for the kids. Donating artwork for charity is definately rewarding. If you are interested in the group or donating a piece here is the website:

I just got official notice that I was accepted into the infamous Art Conspiracy Show here in Dallas this coming October! I'm pretty pumped up about it. Most likely I will be showing a new Fantastico piece for the event. Last year Mary, Nick, Cody and I went to the Dec09 show and it was incredible. I will make a few facebook posts about times and such so follow those and maybe I'll see you there.

Art Showing and Live Painting Session @ Neiman Marcus Willowbend, Sept 10, 2010
I had a great time painting for everyone at Neiman Marcus in Plano this last Friday Night. Since it was an "Art of Fashion Event", I decided to do a painting in the realm of my FANTASTICO series and a still from the 1960 Federico Fellini film, "La Dolce Vita". The film is great and probably one of my favorites. When the painting is finished Neimans will donate it to a charity group. Its all for a good casue. Here are some pics from the scene!
Squared Exhibit @ Space Womb Gallery, Long Island, NY August 6th, 2010
The opening featured artists from New York to Japan. Mary and I loaded up the car and drove to New York! The show was packed out and we met a really great group of artists from all over the world. The next art show I throw here in Dallas I am definately going to invite some of these artists to participate in. New York was excellent. The last time I was there I was touring with THE ORANGE so I really didn't have much time to enjoy the city as we all had a pretty hectic band schedule and very limited transportation. This time Mary and I got to see a lot of the city including 5th Avenue, Central Park and an all day tour of The Met. Realistically a person needs about a month to see everything inside that insane museum. They have...everything! We also learned the subway system quite well and by the time we left we didn't want to drive anywhere again! I can't wait to go back.
The Vitamin Social Art Show @ Kettle Art Gallery May 1st, 2010
The Vitamin Social was Scott Tucker, Eddie Henderson and Hoyotoho on May 1st 2010 Great art opening with exceptional crowd and response. Eddie Henderson showed two short films and I showed 35 paintings and sculptures. Hoyotoho did a DJ set and was amazing. Overall this show really went over well and everyone had a very good time. Special thanks to Frank at Kettle Art for all of his help organizing the event.
